7835 - get existential supplies

RS at work was promoted to office manager, including managing me on the state expansion side of things. RI is stepping over to fund raising and more out of office type stuff. RR and MW both told me about "that's unfair" and etc.. but I have no interest in managing the office.. I just want to be in charge of technology issues and R&D.

On call today, so I'm sticking to the apartment for the next 24 hours. I don't seem to mind so much, now that I'm being paid for my time, and since I know I have Sunday free.

Eastern Oakland park...and as far north as pompano beach south of Atlantic blvd. strong thunderstorms moved into the area in the past hour and half...followed by steady light to moderate rainfall. radar estimates show that up to 3 to 5 inches of rain has fallen in the past 3 hours in this area.

Law enforcement confirmed that several areas east of interstate 95 between commercial blvd and Oakland park blvd are seeing minor flooding. This includes portions of 6th avenue and Andrews avenue.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of road flooding. drive very cautiously.

west palm beach...fort Lauderdale...Miami

scattered showers and a few embedded thunderstorms will continue to move north over the Atlantic coastal waters. the showers and thunderstorms will extend from just off the coast of Miami beach to as far north as Boynton beach. additional showers will be active over eastern Broward county from cooper city to lauderdale by the sea. the showers and thunderstorms along the coast with merge with the showers over eastern Broward county...adding additional moderate to heavy rainfall to area. an urban flood advisory remains in effect for the area between Wilton manors and pompano beach...east of interstate 95.

In Palm Beach County... special needs shelters will open at 2 PM EDT Sunday. Regular shelters will open at 6 PM EDT Sunday. A decision on the extent of the evacuations will be made around noon Sunday.

at this stage... it is too early to provide detailed information on what the wind impact will be across South Florida as it is highly dependent on the exact track and intensity of the storm. However...  winds of at least tropical storm force are expected across all of South Florida on Monday with hurricane force winds likely across parts of South Florida.
