Our initial plan for Tuesday Date day was to go see Avatar - It wasn't meant to be, given that after shopping we got a bit sick instead of a movie, we  downloaded and played wii uno.

Woke up with a sore throat – hopefully I’m not succumbing to BHK’s lingering congestion, and it was only dust from the loft. We’ll know more soon enough!

Telephone interview today – it went well! I look forward to hearing more from them soon.

I like that I live somewhere that still uses horse-drawn carriages alongside the jets. 

BHK and I finally viewed Watchmen last night – not bad.. I actually think I prefer the revised ending, though the characters itself needed a lot of explanation to BHK. I give it a 6/10… Better than it might’ve been.

BHK still has her cold – looks like it’s moving down from her sinus to her chest now – hopefully, it means she’s getting better.

Got Heron: Steam Machine for the Wii – or “Yet another pipes game” – it’s a lot of fun, and stress levels are high, especially in multiplayer.

Off to the grocery - going to get some filling for tonight's quiche feast!

Threw my back out pretty seriously this morning - this evening, and I'm still recovering from it a bit. I've alos decided to get back on the diet wagon, monitoring my intake more carefully again. I can keep weight off only when I'm more observant about my workouts and how much I'm feeding myself.

Got another nice short haircut for my interview on Friday. Just have to trim the beard and print copies of my tightened resume, and I'm set! 

Jay and Sean officially announced that they're having a second child! We went over this evening to celebrate and do some long overdue chitty-chattin and eating of many cheese and crackers... and watching "will success spoil rock hunter? "

note - seen after we went out too catch the Land of the Lost Movie today - I rather liked it, and I'm a fan of the original show.

Never did make it to Surrat house - Instead, we watched My Name is Bruce with Sean and Duncan. Teddy Grahams, hummus and hot dogs w/ kraut for all! Jay missed out, because he was sick at home.

Today was another stay at home day - took a hard walk around the neighborhood, and some chitty-chats with William Callas and Chris.

Visited Coffee Tea and Whimsy, and got some crabber crackers, a keychain giftie for BHK and caramel sauce for all!

Chris won her first-played game of Can't Stop vs BHK and me, while Larry mowed the yard.

Later, the in-laws came back over for quiche with peas & broccoli from the garden, and we watched some ocean documntaries and ate vanilla ice cream with the aforementioned sauce... and blueberries!

Did I mention that BHK and I went to see Star Trek last Tuesday, dear journal? I seem to have skipped over it. I liked it just fine, thinking it's #3 on my list of favorite star Trek movies, after #1 (Galaxy Quest) and #2 (Wrath of Khan). BHK enjoyed it, too, probably more than I did! We may be taking William to see UP on Tuesday matinee. (Which I've been looking more forward to than Trek, actually!)

Happy Anniversary, LJ - 9 years doing entries. Hard to believe, though my posts of late have been petty scanty. I need to get back on the wagon and produce something I'll want to look back on in a few years.

IN back news, I got my second epidural today... not working so great - may be due to scar tissue issues. next one will be injected through my side rather than the back, if I get another.

After my shot to the spine (pictures to follow), we visited at the in-laws for a few - had chinese food and hung out - Adam came over and played a little guitar with Larry and Stone.

Adam fessed up to trying adderall before his finals... not sure how happy  / unhappy I am with that. Not prescribed to him. Misuse can easily become abuse.

Watched Children of Men - not bad, but not mind-blowing, either. Worth seeing on tv, but perhaps not a non-netflix rental.

Cinco De Mayo... Cheers! We had ratatouille and baked potato for supper. (But the bagel I ate had jalapenos on it!)

Contemplating going to Bengie's Drive-in this weekend. Triple feature of Fanboys, Monsters vs. Aliens and Star Trek a fun, dorky night.
I'm not sure though - I'd prefer to see MvsA in 3-d.

Talked to Danny on the phone tonight - he might be jumping into a game of Champions at his local game store this summer. 150 points - the store used to be the Dragon's Lair, but it's now Adventure something or another.

Bro sent me a text from his new phone - I'll call him tomorrow and see how he sounds. I'm sure he's happy to be out and about.

No Franklin again this morning - I noticed that the lawn was treated with chemicals - hopefully that kept him away, along with the cold, drizzly rain.
