I don't have stats, but B'ton seems to just not get messed with by hurricanes like so many other coastal cities to. There was Hurricane Elena in the 80's, and one or two other bigger ones decades ago.
Wonder why the map references a "South Bradenton". When I used to live there, I never heard or saw any references to that, except for the usual N/S/E/W references everyone makes to any city.
I hope it doesn't move down further and mess with you. Are you surrrrre you want to stay in the area you're in?? ::smiles:: Is it just me, or am I just imaginging that you live in a city that is messed with often by 'canes?
Well, this and last year surely has been quite 'cane-ful. I'm not married to florida, of course.. I'd be willing to move just about anywhere as long as I had a decent gig, and a place to put the Newt! :D
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! I saw that manatee animation somewhere else, but it didn't have the eyeballies or the commentary. That's the Best! I just laughed like crazy just now.
Wow..I gotta ask some peeps about the "South" thing then! They didn't seem to have that name delineation in the 80's that I knew of..and haven't heard anyone mention it since then. Wonder why they just don't call it *all* B'ton..
The average amount of seniors there is neat to know. I've never lived anywhere else where I see as many elderly people out & about, like in B'ton. Especially Senior workers. I rarely see it here, and those that I do see are males. There it's both sexes.
Sometimes I think it sucks that I can only see cute stuff when I'm the computer. I want a animated photo to put on my wall of stuff like that. I wish someone would come up with it. Animated waterfall & religious Mary pics aren't the same. ;)
Finally pictures that show where the WIND will be and not just the center of the 'cane.. Gives some good perspective that the other pictures just don't give.. Its what was making me thing I had more time than I really have
Myspace IS yucky! One of my good friends from high school contacted me just recently, and pointed me to his myspace. After digging around a bit, I thought why would anyone want to hang out here, when there's livejournal?? :P
It's kind of cheesy over there. I filled out the "likes" area, and that was fun. Other than that, I'm not using it. I wish Lj would breakdown our "interests" bio area the same way Myspace does.
Hmm. I know what you're talking about, because I watned to get one for my granparents. The rest of the family thought they'd wig out technology-wise with upkeep though. They are probably 100% right.
That would be cool if they could handle animated gifs!
I wonder why Tabby spines are marked by a darker color, so often. {reminded by Newt's spine there}. I seem to remember it's that way on one, or many types of the "big cats", too.
He looks like a fat little football with a tiny head there. CUTE.
I have to chuckle each time there's a hurricane and journalists don raincoats and stand around talking to you while making a big deal of getting blown around by wind. I think we should blame all sorts of stuff in life on them.
I thought those were so cool when I was growing up, but when I tried to make one, I became impatient or bored with the actual *making of*, because I wasn't good at making it work out correctly. :o

alternately, his chest and tummy hair are so fuzzy and downy soft that you must pet it all the time whether he likes it or not. ;)
