Joke heard today - Three of the Spice Girls are pregnant. Probably the work of a guy who wanted to be Sporty's lover, but had to get with her friends.

I'm feeling a bit better today -BHK and I got home, and fairly zonked on the couch before going to bed.

Hopefully, the insurance issues are resolved - supposedly will take 3-5 business days, so I'll be calling back on Monday if I don't hear from them beforehand. It only took an hour of being on the phone, with the bank, hr, and the insurance company.

Saw the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey circus train go by - no giraffe heads sticking out the top, but there were some neat setup cars.

Pretty day outside - took a little walk at lunchtime to stretch my legs, and it was well worth the effort. My knees and sciatica have been acting up, so the little bit of midday movement in the fresh air was  needed. Still sore, but at least I got a peek at the world.

Thinking about arcades... weird that they still exist. I miss the days of playing Gorf, Berserk and Battlezone at the skating rink (or the bowling alley, behind the pool tables.) Going with my grandfather to the bar and my brother playing Joust with me while Grampa got slowly blotto, passing dirty jokes on cocktail napkins to other Marines

I have a lot of housework to catch up with tonight. No silverware and hardly any plates left to eat from.

The love cube (with BHK and me inside) got from behind by a truck with a driver that simply wasn't paying any attention (she claims she was late for work).

BHK and I had been sitting stopped for at least a full 10 seconds light behind another few vehicles when we were hit - I felt my teeth click together and a sharp pain between my shoulder blades. Allison was too hopped up on adrenaline to really feel much right away, but as the day wore on, I was glad that we a few heating pads at home.

We're just lucky that BHK had her digital camera and she remembered to use it afterward so it was documented in case there were any questions. (I'll post them online sometime soon)

Even though we both are still a bit sore this morning they've already processed our claim and we can go get our car fixed with a rental when we want.

The big stressor was that it was while I was on my way to a job interview - but I made it there in plenty of time. We'll see how that goes. I think I had a good game face and the folks there were plenty nice. We got a tour of ABC7's news facility by , which was a bright spot on an otherwise

In addition, our trip home to dunkin donuts was not so wonderful either I didn't get my food after three attempts at ordering.  Came home, we laid on the heating pad and ordered a pizza and watched mentalist with the in-laws before going to bed.

Pretty much a terrible, horrible, no good very bad day. Thankfully, that was yesterday, and today is a new one!

Nice walkies today - cool outside, saw a couple of new neighborhood cats (as well as a few of the regulars) - There are more than a few local houses with ship's figureheads on them - one on the boardwalk puzzles me a bit, as I think they look better at the tip or meeting of two corners, rather than on a flat surface.

Stopped by the post office - a letter from insurance says I have fibromyalgia , but my doctor hasn't said anything to me about it. Put me in a bit of a foul mood for a while - stewed in my own juices for a bit, but have since recovered. Giving the situation a name hasn't really helped with finding a repair situation, and I suspect that calling it such will cause more than a few people to dismiss it like folks do with ADD, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or the like. It is one of those things that is hard ot diagnose, and is likely over-diagnosed. I'm not going to assume anything until we can go over more facts.

Tonight, the in-laws came back over and we watched the remainder of Lost in Austen. To be honest, it was off to a weak start, but was more entertaining in the 2nd half. After that polished off, a little Top Gear helped to elevate the rapidly diminishing testosterone volume. Looks like they're back on track with the fun goofy stuff, and not so much straight car reviews. I prefer the weird challenges any day.

They brought a 3-step commode over today.. um.. I'm using the regular john, just fine, and you're only a week late, guys. I accepted it, but am not sure about where I'll put the thing.

Hair-nurse still hasn't arrived, was supposed to come by this morning.

I swear, this insurance company will deliver a coffin a month after a scheduled burial... It's all been too little, too late. Liberty Mutual, I weep for your clients. I cannot advise strongly enough about leaving that group, if they're your provider.

I've been getting calls today from a "Sapphire Group" in Tampa that found my resume (from February-ish) and is wanting to interview me. Very interesting. I'll talk with them on the phone more later, out of courtesy, but I suspect odds to be slim on my wanting to head up there right now. It'd take a really powerful offer to lure me from ACIM and Ft Laud... plus, I'm still in mending mode.
