Today, I'm feeling a bit worse for wear - these antibiotics are tearing BHK and my guts up.

Spent the morning looking for work, and as a reward of sorts, BHK gave me her Mütter Museum pen that is shaped like an arm bone. Spent the evening watching the IT crowd, playing Wii Sports Resort with the Nailles and enjoying homemade mac & cheese with a side of veggie hot dogs from the grill!

I dreamt that Pye and Newton were horseshoe crabs, but still had their kitty tails.... somehow they could climb walls with their little hairy crab legs.

Dave sent me this - I don't know if he drew it, but it cracked me up for about a half hour! (It looks like his style)

terribly sick - probably shouldn't have gone out and about yesterday - I'm really gravelly and wiped out. Probably won't go over to the Naille's for game night this evening. sore throat, sore joints, high fatigue.

The upside is that I'm  enjoying Colors! on the DS and streaming old-school radio and tv detective shows.

Woke up with a sore throat – hopefully I’m not succumbing to BHK’s lingering congestion, and it was only dust from the loft. We’ll know more soon enough!

Telephone interview today – it went well! I look forward to hearing more from them soon.

Well, back is still being tricky, but I was ok enough to go gently back to the office!

Back is sore, and poor BHK has contact allergy / dermatitis - We're both just sort of shambling around for the moment, and trying to keep our heads together.

Fortunately, we're both in pretty good moods, despite my nagging her not to scratch.

We were blessed by not having to make dinner tonight - Chris and Larry came back from the camping / Environmental trip with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and they picked up Chinese food and a 10-layer cake for us to gobble up while they regaled us with tales of no electricity, mud and guides with Elvis sideburns.

We cooled our heels, and watched a little NCIS (and In-law staple that I don't mind at all) and then a really good Annie Oakley documentary on PBS. I have a new found respect for the lady.

Here, dear journal -  have a Pyewacket pic and a newton movie! Pye looking outside from my comfy zone on the couch, and Newton running around while BHK and I relax from the same area.

I spent April fool's day fading back and forth from dreamland.

I mostly napped - spent the day in muscle-relaxant torpor.

BHK and I had some tasty black-pepper popcorn  - bhk may've had an allergic reaction, or a steam hit? She's a little red around eyes and a little arm area.

While doped up, I spent a little time playing with the panorama-stitching program (haven't used it in ages)

Been waiting at the doctors office for about 30 minutes now - longer time than usual to get shots.

BHK is getting blood work done - I’m more peeved that she has to wait than me - she has been fasting since last night and probably has some low blood sugar going on.

I’m just glad they have some juice available to her for afterward.

After we finish here, plans are for me to get a haircut, a spot of breakfast and then visit Miss Tigger for some love while the in-laws are out off town on a school field trip.

This weekend is primarily set to be for catching up with work - home and otherwise.

Supper last night was buffalo “chicken” patties - celery for BHK, pickles for me. Caught up with an episode of Burn Notice and Psych, and then we toddled off to bed. Straightforward evening.

10:49 AM

I am back from my shot- bhk getting blood work done now.

Good day sunshine going through my head, for no reason in particular. This week did not feel like a 4-day workweek. I hope next week is less demanding on my resources.

Britny’s girlfriend broke up with her the day before valentine’s day- kind of a punk maneuver. They’re best friends “with benefits” now, but are free to see other folks.  That sounds a bit like a death knell for a relationship to me, but who knows how it will work out for them?

Haven’t heard a lot from Jay or Sean lately - I suspect that that Duncan hasx been giving them quite a run for their money.

It’s pretty cold in the doc’s office… remodeled too - the carpet is making me feel a little dizzy, too.

BHK is done with bloodwork - they gave her a caprisun? I thought real fruit juice was proper, not corn syrup? Ah well, we'll get some breakfast / lunch at home - lots of good eats there.

We go to Chessie's for subs - I get veggie & cheese, BHK gets a pizza-steak sub. I opt out of getting a haircut at the barber shop next door, as they only take cash. 7-11 next door has drinks and dessert - BHK starts on a slim jim to get her system back.

Time to peek in on Miss Tigger while the in-laws are gone and give her some food, too. Subs are lackluster.

Back to feed and play with Tigger again - we brought a copy of "The Cat From Outer Space" to play with her in the room.

Tigger is asleep. BHK is Asleep. I'm doing stuff on the computer, and am enjoying the old disney flick.

9:30 PM BHK is awake, Tigger is downstairs, Movie is over.

Trimmed back down to goatee.

Wasn't feeling too well today. Got up at 8, went back to bed at noon, slept until 2.

BHK and I stayed in most of the day, save for a trip to the library and then to Roland's to get spaghetti for tonight's dinner. (Which was super tasty)

Chris was a bachelorette tonight, so she came over had dinner and watched NCIS with us.

After she left, we watched some Mr. Meaty left over from the marathon on Nick a week ago - The show consistently gets a good laugh or two our of me every time.

Speaking of TV - I forgot to mention that we watched the Superbowl - actually quite a good game - I really loved that 100yd snatch and grab. BHK and I still prefer the Puppy Bowl (and the kitten halftime show).

Went to hospital for a gut - check - Doc gave me meds, and prescribed an Upper GI / sonogram. Digestive tract is treating me mean - but now I have some meds to tide me over. Sonogram tomorrow, Upper GI next week. Also got Allergy shots today, since I was in the area, and work told me that I didn't have to come in.

Stopped at the  library - got boom blox for the wii- cute, but not a purchase. one night was enough.

BHK made some tasty soup! pot pie squares (noodles), broccolii, cabbage, peas, carrots, celery veggie "beef" stock. really good.
