I think there could have been a better way to deal with this situation. I would have sent emails to the folks that you thought would have noticed that you removed their names, or waited until you heard from them first. The chosen method turned your LJ into an audition of sorts (note the number of people who are pleased they 'made the cut', so to speak). I totally understand wanting to concentrate on the few journals you read frequently or whatever, but I also understand some folks being upset because you just hollered out 'callbacks' and they weren't on the list. *shrug* Just my opinion.

I hear you. I totally didn't mean for it to turn into an audition at all. It was rather lazy of me just to trim off a bunch of people, and do one quickie 'sorry' comment in my journal. if this has to happen again, I intend to be more sensitive to the feelings of some of the folk on the list here. It saddens me that I might've hurt some folks's feelings... I didn't realise how personally some folks (especially those I'd added very recently, and had never posted to my in my space at all) would take being bumped off. I still scan through other journals...

I don't know. I don't like hurting folks, regardless of the reasons, and this seems like it was over something trivial.
