Oh please, half of them have no plots. I don't even KNOW some of the folk on my friend's list at all, but I like having them there just the same.

I agree. I only have fifteen (some don't even write very often) and if I'm gone for a day I have to spend a lot of time going back and catching up if I want to be wholly attentive - but I'm not really wholly attentive anyway, whatever that means.

How do people that maintain 2 or more journals keep on top? hyperkineticism? Schizoid tendencies?

I know of at least one person that maintains actual content of value (to me) on 2 journals.

I think there could have been a better way to deal with this situation. I would have sent emails to the folks that you thought would have noticed that you removed their names, or waited until you heard from them first. The chosen method turned your LJ into an audition of sorts (note the number of people who are pleased they 'made the cut', so to speak). I totally understand wanting to concentrate on the few journals you read frequently or whatever, but I also understand some folks being upset because you just hollered out 'callbacks' and they weren't on the list. *shrug* Just my opinion.

I hear you. I totally didn't mean for it to turn into an audition at all. It was rather lazy of me just to trim off a bunch of people, and do one quickie 'sorry' comment in my journal. if this has to happen again, I intend to be more sensitive to the feelings of some of the folk on the list here. It saddens me that I might've hurt some folks's feelings... I didn't realise how personally some folks (especially those I'd added very recently, and had never posted to my in my space at all) would take being bumped off. I still scan through other journals...

I don't know. I don't like hurting folks, regardless of the reasons, and this seems like it was over something trivial.

I can see where you are coming from though ... I am here at work and I don't have time to just sit and read everything and then respond, esp. some of the books people write. But ya know, this is a journal ... you are suppose to feel free as to write what you want to write in it ... and honesly, sometimes I feel that I am just peeping in on other people's lives ... Cider is the only person I really know on here!

So, this is basically something that just keeps me busy and entertained ... is that wrong?

Too true. I'd avoid gramma's basement now, for the life of me, were I you. unless that's your plan, make us think you won't be there, and it'll be a good place to hide.

oh yeah...that's it...i ain't gonna be nowheres near Granmas basement...no sir,be jus a big ole waste of the fellas time to be a searchin all over that dang dark basement..especially in that back corner behin that ole burnt out furnace crawl-space..no sir i wouldn't be in there ifn it was the only place i knowed to hide...probably a whole mess of big spiders livin in there right now waitin to bite on them revoltin fellas...
