Cool pic! I loved the Planet of the Apes when I was a kid. (I cried when the baby ape died!)
I didn't realize Tim Burton was going to direct it. In general, I like his stuff(especially "Edward Scissorhands"), and his style is always evocative, but I was disappointed by how he handled "The Headless Horseman" - it's like he couldn't quite pick a tone for the movie, he kept alternating between serious gothic and comic book gore. I felt it could have been so much better storywise (it's a good story, after all, but he butchered it), though the sets were great.
I agree... I think he does better with the surreal, and lost his footing with Headless horseman, too, although I enjoyed it a-plenty...I'm pretty pumped for PotA, I miss Roddy even more, now....
