I didn't do much of anything this weekend. I didn't put on shoes. I didn't leave the third floor. I did clean house, laundry, etc.

Watched the heck out of the Kong DVDs... all the special edition stuff... Harryhausen's test footage and the documentary on "the making of" was pretty dang impressive, and Harryhausen's commentary was good on the movie disc, too. A lot of it was interpolated, due to the movie being over 70 years old.. just about everyone remotely involved in the project are long deceased. It worked out quite nicely, however, since the material hasn't changed in that span,either.

only sometimes... it depends on how it's saved.

Didn't know it was possible to save shockwave. I've right-clicked them before, but never seen any sort of save option. Maybe I'm missing an ap of some sort.

if you look in the page sourse, and see swf, you can put that in your addresss bar and then select "save as.."

Well, I found a page where the image is much larger (like this), but I still don't get a "save as" option when I right click- just the usual shockwave menu.

at the top of your browser, go to File, then select Save Page As...

and it should allow you to save the whole swf file.

Ah, yes. That works. Thanks. It displays oddly in Irfanview, though. It gets its own little window inside the usual Irfanview window. I've never seen anything do that before. It's very meta.

there you go.. you need some shockwave editing software to extract the gif from there, but at least you can save the cartoon!
