Explained to ST as to why I don't like the idea of dating inside the workplace. Pretty simple, really... I have never seen it work with people of my personality type. I know of exactly one couple that met at work that has gone on to be a great pairing for years and years (GrayP & Katt), but they're the exception that proves the rule. Besides... folks need time apart as well as together... it'd try any relationship for folks to end up living in the same place and working the same place... fatigue is bound to set in. Plus, if a breakup happens, or if one partner gets fired... the whole dynamic goes to poop.
The rains came back last night, and they haven't left yet. Water on glass is a good sound.
Wilma is a Cat5 right now, gusting to 212 mph, and a barometric pressure of 884 MB (lowest recorded!) Yikes.

I'd say that's pretty spot on, though I do like science quite a bit.

It's 6 AM and the sun is getting high
He picks up the mail from the slot
He feels the rush of excitement as he holds it in his hand
Another love note no one got
Some postman is grooving to all our love letters
Some postman is gonna cry
Some postman is grooving to all our love letters
Some postman is gonna cry
Gonna cry
Gonna cry
It's noon now and all the mailboxes have been emptied
And all the letters are inside
He counts them, he checks them, he looks for clues and finds
The ones with hearts on the outside
Some postman is grooving to all our love letters
Some postman is gonna cry
Some postman is grooving to all out love letters
Some postman is gonna cry
Gonna cry
Gonna cry
Gonna cry yeah yeah
Nineteen ninety threeeeee
ooh ooh ooh ooh
ooh ooh ooh ooh
Holding onto a package meant for a distant lover
Thought it would be there overnight
She waits and she cries and she thinks he does not love her
The postman holds on oh so tight
Some postman is grooving to all our love letters
Some postman is gonna cry
Some postman is grooving to all our love letters
Some postman is gonna cry
Gonna cry yeah
You (you)
Crushed (crushed)
Paper hearts
Stole (stole)
And sold (sold)
And ripped apart
Your promise was sent but you never delivered to me
Some postman you turned out to be

Date: 2005-10-19 11:59 am (UTC)I suspect it was slight interest disguised as Cawfee Tawk, but only because she's having issues with her bf at home right now. She and I would make a horrible romantic pairing... What she wants and what I want are pretty different things than the opposite number could provide.

I just thought of a great X-name. Xeno. I've always dug that moniker.

So, the top two paths go right over my parents. My dad is stubborn... I always ask "so do you have any supplies --- *just in case*?? Every time he says 'What for??!" :P they moved further inland in their city, though...like 25 min. drive from the beach, rather than right on the water, and "nearer" the beach. Still, I always think stuff is going to blowup.
so, if one of the two bottom paths turns out to be on target for you (nooo!) , will it soften what your city gets because it's hitting the opposite coast from you first? Or no? I've only been through one hurricane and have lots ot learn. :0)

How hard is it for your papa to pick up an extra couple of cans of beans and some water-jugs? mosdt folks I know make a party of it, and are thrilled for the excuse to do a little cooking on the hibachi on thier day off, even if the power goes out (as long as nobody is in any real scary coconut-chucking danger)
