Ah, that's why I didn't get into Anarchy online.. full screen doesn't support dual monitors all that well...keeps minimizing, and running it windowed gives me a black screen. Dang annoying.Still, pretty neat when it ticks over properly.

My internal monologue has been strangely quiet lately. normally, I have a multitude things bubbling around inside my head, with different things breaking the surface, like raisins in ginger ale. my Monkey and robot seem to be teaming up against central control. Monkey is behind the whole thing, I'm sure.

H-words:

I never knew the meaning of the term histrionics until I hung out with RP gamers (sadly, more OOC than IC) and read random journals online.

I'd never seen hubris in action until I read livejournal.

What else can be found if you just do a random cross-section? Hedonists. Hysteria. Heckling. Hypochondriacs. Haughtiness. Hyperbole. Hotheads. Hubbub. Hypocrites.

In fact, it seems that I may be a bit hypercritical (as well as a bit hypocritical) when it comes to online journals for the most part. Of the journals I read regularly, very few are like those mentioned above, though everyone has one or two elements there.

Oh yeah. Some good H-words too. Helpers, Humanitarians, Hotties, and Humor. Also, a Herpetologist. (In no particular order) That makes it worthwhile.

Moment of Lyric:

I took a walk around the world to ease my troubled mind
I left my body laying somewhere in the sands of time
I watched the world float to the dark side of the moon
I feel there is nothing I can do, yeah

Exploding toads baffle German experts

BERLIN (AFP) - Hundreds of toads have met a bizarre and sinister end in Germany in recent days, it was reported: they exploded.

According to reports from animal welfare workers and veterinarians as many as a thousand of the amphibians have perished after their bodies swelled to bursting point and their entrails were propelled for up to a metre (three feet).

It is like "a science fiction film", according to Werner Smolnik of a nature protection society in the northern city of Hamburg, where the phenomenon of the exploding toad has been observed.

"You see the animals crawling on the ground, swelling and then exploding."

He said the bodies of the toads expanded to three and a half times their normal size.

"I have never seen such a thing," said veterinarian Otto Horst. So bad has the death toll been that the lake in the Altona district of Hamburg has been dubbed "the pond of death."

Access to it has been sealed off and every night a biologist visits it between 2:00 and 3:00 am, which appears to be peak time for batrachians to go bang.

Explanations include an unknown virus, a fungus that has infected the water, or crows, which in an echo of the Alfred Hitchcock movie "The Birds", attack the toads, literally scaring them to death.

Ooh! I want to meet a herpetologist! And you should add "horticulture" to the list of LJ H-words. There's lots of proud gardeners on this thing. :)

I feel sorry for the poor German toads. It reminds me of the disease that killed my goldfish in elementary school. He just swelled up and died.

Hmmm?

Horror-gamer?

Hamiltonian! (a function that describes the state of a mechanical system in terms of position and momentum variables (i.e. symplectic variables), which is the basis for a re-formulation of classical mechanics)

Am I Hamiltonian? If so never been called that before.

Or, if thats the word of the day, I'll try and fit it into conversation some point today. ;-)

I could see you having hamiltonian elements. :)

Since I don't fully understand the word, I'm going to ask... how so? :-)

so, what do you make of these street sign back graffiti?

The first word looks like it's saying "Why not", but... dose? As in to dose on acid? It's probably something radically different, and not sound-out-able.

I wonder what the range is?

I've found these dose sings primarily in downtown fort lauderdale, but have seen them about 20 miles apart (two greatest distances.. the beach and davie)

When I think of the word dose, I suspect acid, too... though lately, I would prefer Ynot doze... a little nap is always welcome!

I'm not sure what the meaning is. There are a few guerilla artists in town, some do sculpture, some graffiti. it may not mean anything!

There are probably more H words for me, but the only to I can think of right now:

*Extremely* hedonistic -
"Pursuit of or devotion to pleasure, especially to the pleasures of the senses.
Philosophy: The ethical doctrine holding that only what is pleasant or has pleasant consequences is intrinsically good.
Psychology: The doctrine holding that behavior is motivated by the desire for pleasure and the avoidance of pain."

Sure..it holds me back in some instances, but I'm unable to subscribe to the work, sleep, work - then die way of life. That frightens me, because I've seen that exact thing happen too many times.

Let's see..."histronic" at times. "Dramatic or emotional; affected". Things just affect me more than the average person. Hurt very easily...& the usual comments people make when they think someone is hurt too easily, are a bunch of baloney. Some peeps are just made different, and it tells me that people don't understand underlying causes without yapping incorrectly. :0)

One I just thought up for you... "herbalicious". Hee! You just seem like you are filled with lots of wonderful herbs...maybe some nice Sage or calming Chammomile. :0)

Have you seen the first movie? It's full of Jbee...I can name the exact bits in there that are me. J. spent the whole movie repeatedly saying loudly "That's you..you did that!" Of course I wigged at people staring each time he said it, but secretly liked it. ::smiles::

Yeah, but I wear some of the commercial stuff..I think I remember that makes your nose grumpy. ;)

I suspect that you're not melodrmatic, but actually do feel things very deeply... not drama, but actual sensitivity. :)

also, I think you deserve all the pleasure you can possibly stand.

"but actually do feel things very deeply... not drama, but actual sensitivity."

It's a beauty as well as a curse, that doesn't do all that much good, because the majority seem to not be built that way. I take part of it back..it does help kitties. :0)

Ya..not melodramatic. I get a little excited sometimes, but that's about it.

"deserve all the pleasure you can possibly stand"

You too, me thinks! You've had some stressors that need some trading out with extra happy stuffs. :)))

My vocabulary is in need of fertilizer, apparently.
Which is strange, since bullshit is usually my forte.

We should all have some lovely herbs growing from the amount of fertilizer spread. :)
