Just in case you haven't heard, there's been a massive recall of tainted beef. Here's the thing--beef recalls are really difficult to do. The government can't force the meat industry to recall beef, & usually by the time the meat industry issues the recall, the tainted meat has gotten pretty far out into the world. So, lay off the beef for a while (if you don't already do so).

when I read about the recall and the added statement, "most of it has probably be consumed" I thought, great. and lately I've increased my beef intake......which is unusual for me. generally I can't get past the images of mad cow disease sufferers. and wouldn't you know the tainted meat thing would happen the one time I was able to get a hamburger patty past my lips.

anyway, my point is no more beef for me. long live the cows.
