Happy Birthday, Mr. Bear. I hope it truly was lovely in the long run, as I did read about the reservations you had about it not feeling very birthday-like today. It didn't feel birthday-like to me, either, but for obvious other reasons. ;>
Also, thanks for posting the Daredevil piece. I agree in part with your assessment, but must add that I thought David Mack's run on the book was much loved. Then again, I have been a Mack fan for a long time, and I am a little biased. =D You ought to send the piece to one of the many comic book pub.s out there to see if maybe you can get a bit as a freelance writer. I know you have the talent and the know-how. And if you like pie, you can work for Wizard. =>
Thank you! :) I hope your unbirthday was as pleasant come the end.
oh, I stand corrected! David Mack is probaby one of the better writers to come along since the silver age for ol' hornhead. (Personally, I like his covers better than his writing.) I hear a Kabuki film is in the works too, but I don't know how much of that's a rumor.
I like pie! :) Hmm... that's not a bad idea... only trouble is that I'd have to read more current comics... I wonder if someone needs a "Comic books up until 1999 or so" person. :)

Date: 2002-02-03 05:06 am (UTC)I spent the day studiously avoiding meat. Oatmeal for breakfast, pilot bread with hummus for lunch, and yummy pad thai for dinner. =)
