want to see some pictures from my day today? You can click on the thumbnails to see them get bigger. :)

Danny and I went out to Breakfast, Costco, Dave & Busters, and Whispering Pines Cemetary. The Cemetary is recent... no real sense of history, but still lovely as far as a boneyard goes. many fountains, carvings, mausoleums and tombs of current day. I'll upload more later....I want to play with sepias, black and white... filter-boy. I want to work out how [livejournal.com profile] edbook simplifies some of his shots so beautifully.

From this morning... this is what I see on my chest upon waking.

another terrific Newt-photo! He reminds me here of a statue of Bast, though he's not black -- it's in those *eyes*. He knows something we don't....

Good pics from the cemetary too, Scotto. :)

I swear, he can put on this "oh, boy, goofy human. My IQ of 2600 is amazed at your silly monkey antics"

thanks about the cemetary pics!

LOL The look on his face is priceless! Pia has her own version of that look. Funny how all cats seem to have that oh so slight air of superiority when they look at their humans. You gotta love 'em! :)

Your Newtie is a real camera ham!

BTW, the star in your picture is NOT pagan.
The Pagan "star" or pentagram has five points corresponding to the elements Air, Earth, Fire and Water with the top point corresponding to "Spirit". Satanists and Satanic cults invert the symbol, which puts the elements of Fire and Earth at the top (Fire symbolizes willpower and passion and Earth, prosperity and earthly goods) and Spirit (spirituality), at the bottom. See more here (http://www.witchvox.com/basics/wfaq.html).
Pagans hate it when they are grouped with Satanist. Just thought you would like to know!

That's interesting....

I Plead the 5th - actually, if you go by the dictionary definition of pagan, you get this

n.

  1. One who is not a Christian, Muslim, or Jew, especially a worshiper of a polytheistic religion.

  2. One who has no religion.

  3. A non-Christian.

  4. A hedonist.

  5. A Neo-Pagan.

adj.

  1. Not Christian, Muslim, or Jewish.

  2. Professing no religion; heathen.

  3. Neo-Pagan.

Middle English, from Late Latin pgnus, from Latin, country-dweller, civilian, from pgus, country, rural district. See pag- in Indo-European Roots.

So, by definition, both Athiests and Satanists are pagans.

True. Not wanting to open the whole can 'o worms to argue the point, I concede. You are right. I merely felt the urge to point out that "peaceful pagan religions" do not display the pentagram inverted. :)
