An absolutely exhaustive list of articles on social criticism. The very last section on the page is called "Achieving goodness in a complex world".

Thanks for the link, although I misread the last part and thought it said: "Archiving goodness in a complex world"...

Goody goody.

No really, I love reading - but I hate doing it for school. I wanna read what I wanna read. Dammit.

I'm only sort of a goody goody. :)

half of what I read is popcorn for the brain... (very easy to fall into the "junk food book" trap)

stay in the reading habit!

I've had the paper monkey on my back since my earliest memories, too...

putting books on my pda is extra dangerous... I can read edgar allen poe in a meeting, and look like I'm working.

I grew up sans a TV. What else was I to do?

I had a TV... but usually crap was on, so it was time for a book.

Having *no* tv must've made for an unusual kid time, though.

No Sesame street? or Cartoons before school?

The horror.

It wasn't too bad. My mom got rid of it when I was five, so I did get some Sesame Street, but no cartoons. I had a very vivid imagination.
