China…AD 1391 - The Bureau of Imperial Supplies began producing 720,000 sheets of toilet paper a year, each sheet measuring two feet by three feet. For use by the Emperors.

Yeah but still.... you get sand in some of those little "nooks and crannies" back there, that could be an irritating experience! :-P

Some of that stuff sounds painful.

But, what about those Chinese emperors?

720,000 sheets, two feet by three feet?

That is almost forty acres of toilet paper!

He must have shared it with the rest of the royal household.

Either that, of the Chinese emperors had mighty big bums.
