benison \BEN-uh-suhn; -zuhn\, noun:
Blessing; benediction.

Benison comes from Old French beneison, from Latin benedictio, from benedicere, "to bless," from bene, "well" + dicere, "to say."

Every moment spent with my love is a benison, exhilarating and heartwarming each step of the way.

Dr Stupid says "I'll drink to that"

And the Good Monks of St Benedict’s make Benedictine a brandy flavoured herb infusion which I must say is truly blessed...Amen

Benedictine is an exhilarating and heart-warming concoction - it may help your ailment...it does require slight adjustment to ones palette.

I always believe in drinking brandy or Benedictine for health reason:
1) as a preventative measure, however should that not work then one should
2) take a dose as a cure

With such logic you win either way - the work of Benedictine as both a preventative and a cure supports the view that health is a state of mind; a relative measure, perhaps, though one must be careful not to bestow too much good health on ones relatives..

Another truly blessed brew made by monks is the naturally fermented "Tapist Monk Beer" - stronger in alcohol content than wine and most excellent natural taste to boot..

The men of the cloth were onto a good thing... the alcohol reserach and development being great , the wearing of dresses and celibacy less so..
