I don't know why but I feel I need this and it will be important some day. I am terrible about having cash on me so I always have my ATM card.
I do carry a purse with me but I am almost always in my car which is where I keep my résumé, a plush wolf, a card game called Apples to Apples, an empty gas can, coupons I forget to use, a flashlight, an umbrella, and a not-exactly-but-very-similar-swiss-army-knife-type-thing-with-pliers. Sometimes, I have a bag of dry cat food in my car just in case I need to feed any strays.
