Anne Heche, who married a cameraman over the weekend, is now explaining that she has suffered from multiple personalities throughout her life and was insane during her three-year relationship with Ellen DeGeneres. On her current mental state, she insists: "I'm all here." {She was later seen introducing herself as Morton and trying to bite into a piece of wedding cake with her ear.}

Seriously, I wish her the best of luck, and health.

Yup... flip side of the Ellen syndrome, really.

I could care less if Ellen likes girls, boys or stuffed animals. Same for Anne. (In all honesty, the outing of herself seemed more a publicity stunt than an act of nobility, in my eyes.)

Celebrity, as a whole is blah. I've found more often than not that they have nothing really to say, and would be better off just acting, singing, or otherwise expressing their opinions via thier craft.

I don't know ... I do have great sympathy for people who feel the need to "come out" in a big way, or who tie every part of their life to their "gayness" ... I mean, I went through that, sometimes it's needed for self-acceptance, and really ... though I couldn't care less what gender someone prefers, at the same time, because I don't care, I also don't care if they need to tell me about it either.

I just don't like the in-community discrimination.

That can't be healthy, to base one's identity around a gender preference. Like I was saying before "Straight & Great/Here & Queer" to me seems sort of weird to me... "I LIKE BROWN SHOES!"

I guess I just don't understand the need to tell other folks a preference for anything, unless asked, or observed enjoying it (Dating same/opposite sex in public, or whatever)

Mrm, I think it is, but, only when it's a step along a path rather than an end point. Like people who go gung-ho into any change, really ... a spiritual interest, vegetarianism/veganism, educational pursuits, whatever. Realizations and direction-altering changes can be a huge thing ... it just takes a little time to settle into it and become comfortable with it just being one aspect rather than a whole.

yup... I hear you there the most recent converts are usually the strongest proclaimers of whatever path they're embracing.

That makes a lot of sense.. I can see that side of it.
