What a weird story -- a girl goes missing a month ago, after being assaulted and then being temporarily hospitalized in a psychiatric unit, and now she turns up and calls home. The nice part of the story is how people have rallied to help the family out and bring the girl home.

This world is full of some of the strangest happenings. It makes me feel like my life is so uneventful - then again, most of these things that happen to people are bad, so I can say I'm happier without the misfortunes.

I wonder what happened to her when she disappeared and how she got out - and why did she want to stay? There's more to the story, I bet it would make a good "Made-For-TV" movie. With Sissy Spacek as the mom and Jennifer Love Hewitt as the daughter. Then we need someone like Paul Rubens as the hapless father.
