yeah, go figure... showing a black kid being smarter than a tiger... (I'm imaigning the pictures were what got it banned, because the story has him being clever enough to turn the tiger to butter)

That's the little guy! I remember plastic pictures with Sambo on them running around the ceiling of the entire restaurant, and they were back-lit. I used to bug my mom to take me there because I liked it so much.

When I was a little kid my grandmother used to read me a book called Little Black Sambo. Later on, when I got older and more aware of things, I found it at her house and was like *oh shit*.
