Does anyone use the term 'pizza parlor' in casual conversation anymore? I found myself thinking... "I'd like to go with my sweetie to a pizza parlor". What am I, one of the archies?

Since there are no pizza parlour pizza's we can eat, it just doesn't come up in conversation.

But, until last month (when it closed), I took Artemis to a Poodle Parlour every 5 weeks. It was called Jackie's Poodle Parlour.

That reminds me of my mom when she says "slacks" instead of "pants", or going to a "show" instead of "movie". So foreign to me, yet some people still use them.

My friends make fun of me for saying I'm going to the "barber shop" instead of the "salon". Guess I'm not so perfect, after all!!
