scottobear*giggling at the SNL ad... "hamburger helper, antibacterial"... it stings a little, but then it's really good! that acrid smell means it's working...
things done today...
took a walk, talked to my sweetheart, played with newt, went to lunch/dinner with little brother and mother... the tempura was exquisite, and the company was even... mother rated a 3, brother an 8. (poor guy has had the following happen this last week: broke up with his girl again... lost his job, was in a car wreck. and is still very cool about everything. willing to joke about it, and I offered him some bucks, but he's happy with unemployment giving him 142 a week...covers rent and food until he's back on the job scene. I'm very impressed at how well he's taking it...upset, but not beating himself up over it. Lots of good gigs available though... bartender or whatever is pretty easy to do on Los Olas.) He's physically fine, but the car was completely totaled. I got to talk with him about the meds he's on for depression, and I'm pretty confidant he's doing the right thing, since he's being very proactive about finding ways to fix it non-chemically, and this is a fix for the meantime.
tonight at about 8pmish, my main machine will be back, hopefully all good and happy.
I didn't realize how much simpler it is to write on a real keyboard instead of the laptop...argh. I look forward to doing more writing on the big brain, instead of the remote...and having newt cam back up.
in other news, I want ice cream. :)
there seems to be a real funk travelling LJ lately, my own included...I think my wit has dulled a bit, especially after reading things I wrote 6 months ago... time to really buckle down on the writing workouts again...maybe do the yellow cardigan story.
