Ah, Jacques Joseph O'Mahoney, star of television, B movies, and gay wet dreams. I remember that series. I also vaguely recall having seen one of his Tarzan movies. He was no Johnny Weissmuller, but he gave Lex Barker a run for his money.

I don't recall it ever going into syndication (it was not a huge hit) so it was pretty easy for someone of your age to have missed. I think I was only 13 when it premiered and 14 when it ended, and then, as far as I recall, it just vanished.

I had a friend who was obsessed with the character (and the star) to the point of hero worship, which is the only reason I remember the show myself. I was not a regular viewer. But I can't remember what show was on opposite it that I watched instead. It was a long time ago in a suburb far, far away.
