age of sexual consent, around the world.

some odd observations... new mexico... legal to have same sex relationships earlier? 17 for opposite sex, 13 for same... I guess the main dilemma is pregnancy, in that case.

13? am I alone in thinking that's a little young for anyone? and in some countries, it's more accepted for a woman to be younger and mate than a man... 12 years for a girl, 17 for a boy, in a few cases.

Not too keen on the purpose of the page (I think it's so horndogs can get away with making out with minors) but the information there is an interesting breakdown.

What really suprised/amused me is that we're pretty much the only "highly developed" (I *hate* using terms like that, but you know what I mean) country in the world where same-sex relations are still illegal. I knew it was illegal in some states (mine included), but I had no idea that it was illegal in a LOT of them...

I don't quite see how you can fault someone for providing information (that probably isn't provided anywhere else) as catering to 'horndogs'. The information has many uses that don't involve going out and having sex with a minor.

Just like a VCR has valid uses that don't involve massive copyright violations.

Displaying information of any kind is not inherently bad. If the page had porn ads and had other wording, yes, it would be a problem; but I think you're finding fault where there is none.

I read the page pretty much top to bottom, and the scent of it was about having sex with minors, and how to do so....

It does have a porn ad at the top, but it's fairly innocuous. I feel very strongly that the purpose is to protect folks that want to have sex with minors, but I could be mentally filtering that way. I do agree freedom of knowledge is quite important.
