The Storm Prediction Center Has Issued A Severe Thunderstorm Watch For Portions Of Central And Southern Florida And Coastal Waters Effective This Thursday Afternoon And Evening From 315 PM Until 900 PM EST .

Hail To 2 Inches In Diameter...Thunderstorm Wind Gusts To 80 Mph...And Dangerous Lightning Are Possible In These Areas.

The Severe Thunderstorm Watch Area Is Along And 50 Statute Miles Either Side Of A Line From 45 Miles West Of Fort Meyers Florida To 25 Miles North Northeast Of West Palm Beach Florida.

I've always wondered something about those advisories....isn't all lightning dangerous?? Or, is it that they are speaking of more cloud to ground lightning rather than cloud to cloud?
