Am I the only one from whom the phrase 'tea room' especially 'Russian tea room' conjures up images of wacky 60's TV personalities getting into situations?

Major Nelson, Major Heely... Lucy & Ethel, Darrin and Larry?

I've not seen the Patty duke show, or any sign of Dobie Gillis in ages, but somehow I think there were weird tea room episodes of those, too...

A friend and I basically crashed the Russian Tea Room in NYC-- :) We just walked in, looked around, took the elevator upstairs and looked around on the empty floors all we wanted. No one said a word, and we saw great stuff-- and took pictures :)

The doorman was cute too and had a wonderful Russian accent. How authentic! But we didn't see any celeb's except for ourselves, but that's a longer story :)

you start talking about Pimky Lee and Howdy Doody and Sky King and My Friend Flika and Leave it to Beaver and What's My Line and I've Got a Secret and Omnibus and Rod Serling and Sgt. Bilko and Amos and Andy and the Jack Benny Show then I will have to take drastic action. I might just have to shoot your TV because it is obviosly evil if it still showing shows like that.

oh groan...how about the Honeymooners and the original Price is Right with Bill Cullen and Treasure Hunt (the game show and the action adventure show both) and Flipper and My Three Sons and My Favorite Martian and Fury and I Love Lucy (the original shows) and Milton Berle and Ed Sullivan and Bonanza?

Nope it was a panel show where 4 people sat and bid on the price until someone got it ... don't remember all of the details....but is true.
