scottobearFound out what the critter was from the yellow flowers in Deale were here-
It's a Snowberry Clearwing Hummingbird Moth- or a Hemaris Diffinis
Very nifty critter - I wonder if it is as common here as it is in points further north - many thanks to Billijean and everyone who pointed me in the right direction.
