finding zen
Jan. 9th, 2001 05:34 pmafter 5. I can play my recorder.
(I can't believe I forgot both my book and my recorder at work yesterday! ack! )
downside of recorder. I can neither talk, nor type while playing it.
or maybe that's the upside. :)
Trying to work out a recorder version of a Dave Matthews tune... Has a warm spot in my heart.
Good things to focus on: Ornj, Lavender, #36, comfort, Newton...
bliss is everywhere, you just have to remember where you keep it.

Re:
Date: 2001-01-09 06:03 pm (UTC)Tourist Trills
Date: 2001-01-09 08:27 pm (UTC)Then there's this guy in town who preys upon tourists with his recorder. He plays the same four notes over and over for hours while busking; however, the moment a tourist approaches he does what the locals refer to as his "tourist trill" which is to theatrically flutter a note and rise up on his toes as though really getting into it (rather like how a WWF wrestler will 'sell' a punch by pretending to have been hurt). It's a silly site.
Have fun! :)

Date: 2001-01-09 08:37 pm (UTC)yipes! does he make some funds from that? Maybe I should change vocations! :) tourist trill indeed!
I'm honored to have you in my 'recorder family' :) small world!
