I'm jealous! I tried growing radishes in my garden last year, but the slugs just ate them all! now my vegetable patch is mainly growing weeds. Bad times!
If you have a few little ashtrays or bottom halves of a beer can, put them near your slug issue - put beer in the shallow of the cans, and they'll crawl in and die.
I tried the beer can thing, but once I caught them I was too squeamish to do anything with them! What is the dusting option? Ideally we need a solution that involves the slugs being vapourised or similar so that I never have to deal with them
