Still having a devil of a time logging in... hopefully the phone will be fixed when I get home tonight. Pesky as all get out not having it yesterday, too. *summons the power of all the LJ powers that be to have the new server installed soon* I've asked this before, but I'm eager to hear any answers...
If you could have one super-power, or paranormal ability what would it be?
Lately I've been thinking 'instant transport anywhere on the globe' is a good one. All my pals are so far, and I grow tired of waiting for the bus. Walking only takes me so far... I'd love to *pop* On the Beach! *pop* in Seattle! *pop* in Canada! *pop* in the midwest!
*pop* In Germany! Hmm.. and take up to ten people with me at a time. :) *popopopopop* We're all at Disney world. :) Inside, so we don't need to buy tickets. :)
Shapeshift would be fun, look like anything, from a bug to a dinosaur, to William Shatner, to a park bench...
Found the answer to yesterday's mystery 'dead chat'. someone set all of our proxies to die at 4:20. lame.

Date: 2001-01-04 06:28 pm (UTC)If I could define my superpower even more, I think that a side-effect of the healing would be a strong sense of purpose, obligation and community in those that have been healed. That way, there would be a ripple effect of peace and charity and love. Eventually, the ripple would cover the whole world.

Date: 2001-01-06 03:12 am (UTC)There's actually a minor character in the comics whose power is just a quick heal... he's an ambulance driver, to get to the most needy fast. his side effect is that nobody remembers what he looks like though.. I like the 'community healing' of yours much more! :)

Also as a safegaurd the IRS, the police, and other such "Powers" would NEVER become sucpicious of me for these matters.
Now THAT would be a SUPER power in my book. >=)

Date: 2001-01-04 08:50 pm (UTC)I've always been pretty intuitive, people think I'm reading their minds sometimes when really I just have a feeling. A really strong one. But I never know if I'm 100% correct.
So. My super power would be to have the ultimate intuitiveness and reading minded-ness ever. And I would have 100% accuracy. This would also include mental telepathy between me and anybody I wanted, so whenever I wanted to communicate something back to a person, I could.
Wow! Great question! (I think I'd like to have your 'popping' super power, too. wanna pop over to Hawaii or something? : )

Date: 2001-01-06 03:13 am (UTC)But maybe you could have a different kind of telepathy - the ability to "see" disease in people. We could work together. We'd be strolling through the mall and you'd see that some man over there has some kind of tumor that he doesn't even know about. So we'd go over, ask him what time it was or something, and then I could put my hand on his arm and viola! Then we'd giggle and tell each other how lucky we are to have such a gift.
We'd be a team. Travelling all over the world, healing unsuspecting sick people. What a life, huh?
