Nov. 27th, 2008 10:07 pmhappy thanksgiving! wonderful dinner with bhk and inlaws. quorn roast, corn cassarole, green beans, peas, mashed potato, cranberry sauce, root veggies - much to give thanks for, not just the food. (i made the biscuits from scratch with help from larry)

Date: 2008-11-28 11:44 pm (UTC)I made a Quorn roast--which you should totally try! I totally disregarded the cooking directions and slow cooked it covered with carrots, potatoes, onions, veggie broth and Bell's seasoning. After cooking I sliced the roast and let it soak the veg broth before serving while my mom mixed the remaining veg broth with flour to make gravy. The roast was SO juicy and moist!! And honestly the dang thing took about 15 minutes to slap in a pot! I'm gonna cook one more often just for that!
