Telecommuted in today -some slight bumps when Comcast passed out on us, but it was restored quickly enough, and I had the fallback of the cellular modem if I needed it.

Epidural went ok, painful, but hopefully productive. I got a bit panicked when I read the release forms this time (My heart rate went from 134/68 to 164/99 and back down to 139/95, once I focused. My average heart rate is still 119/79. - I certainly didn't want to die as the result of a pain block, and once gave myself a little self-awareness, everything worked out for the best. I spoke with the doc about my rattling lungs, and he gave me a cursory look - it seems like they're doing ok now, and the cough should be history soon.

Went to Mexico for a very late lunch (maybe 4?) and I chowed down, as I had to fast for the procedure. BHK didn't eat very much, but she had a little nibble in the morning.

Swung by verison for a replacement holster, but they said it'd take at least a half hour to review records and check on the receipt.. we didn't want to lurk that long, as my anesthetic was beginning to wear off and it was time to head home.

Saw the finale of Farmer wants a wife, and he took the better of the remaining options open to him, I think. i'll be interested if he comes back next year for "farmer wants a divorce" and / or "farmer wants a baby." Hell's Kitchen wasn't bad, down to two people I find interesting and both seem talented.

Origami minis for D&D. Cheaper than metals! To scale, too.

Note to self - Games that Are Worth Purchasing Solely for Playing Two-Player, but Are Capable of Supporting More Players

So many games that interest me seem to be 3+ player only (Catan, Stonehenge, etc) , it's good to locate that sort of list.

Out of the boardgames on that list (many of which have been played down at Gamers), the only one I enjoyed or know well enough was Ticket to Ride. I would recommend that one.

it's on the xbox now, too!

but bhk and I would more likely prefer the boardgame, I think. :)

Glad the whole med-thing went well.

The games I can vouch for on the list are Carcasonne, and Citadels. I've played a few of the others, but not as 2 player games.

Oh, that's scary. I would have been worried at the doctor's office, too. Glad you're still here. :0)

Yay, for Farmer Wants a Wife! I couldn't get enough of it. I went snooping around the web this morning to find out if they're still together.

And THANK YOU for the birthday wishes. We almost lost Scooter (twice) in the past 3 weeks, so I've been hiding out & extremely hermit-y. More than usual. Ha.

Last night, Brooke's Myspace said she was "sad", "single," & "finally seeing things for what they really are." (on purpose, I'm sure)

His myspace said he was in a relationship, and that's it.

This morning (about the same time), they both switched their Myspaces up. He put in a story about missing her and wanting her to get to Missouri asap, so they can get going with the relationship. (They've had to hide it since July of last year). He changed his icon to one of the two of them together (I think from when he visited LA in April for promos..and he got to see her)...and moved her icon to first place on his f-list.

Hers was changed to "loved", "in a relationship," and made her icon the same one of the two of them together, too.

Apparently she's moving there...and he's unable to grow any crops, because he was part of those recent floods.

OMGOMGOMGOMG!!! First thing I did the morning after the finale aired (after Scott left for work and wasn't home to make fun of me) was google for an update on the Brooke Matt situation HAHAHAHAHHAHA I was checking out their myspace too!

Soooo funny. I dunno why I liked that show. But I did.

Ha. :)
I figured I was a bit lame for wanting to know so badly how they were doing, but from searching around the Internet..seems other peeps were dying to know, too!

I liked the show for too many reasons:
- I miss living in the country.
- Matt reminded me of my high school (& later years) sweetheart, who was a big time country boy where I lived. Personality and actions. I mentioned it to James so I wouldn't feel guilty...but I think it went in one ear and out the other. :D
- Brooke reminded me of someone I knew in that same country town, in both personality & looks. I was trying to find my pictures of the old friend last night to compare. I need a life!

I forgot to ask! Who did you want to win? I thought Amanda seemed like the sweetest---but of the two finalist I was rooting for anyone but the skank.

Brooke...starting with epi #2!

I guessed Brooke, Christa & Amanda would be the final 3. But Amanda was somewhat stoic & didn't give any noticeable vibes she was interested in Matt, so I wanted her gone. I wondered if she was edited to look that way, but then she did an interview post show, stating she didn't fall for Matt at all. Made me wonder just how long she would have tried to stay on, if Matt hadn't kicked her off first.

The skank frustrated me!! She busted Brooke's chops repeatedly for "ruining her date," {due to her TP'ing his truck -- gimme a break her date wasn't ruined}. But Amanda TP'd the truck WITH Brooke...yet Christa was still kind (from what we could see) to Amanda. Totally gave Christa's fears about Brooke away. I would have called her on it.

I also wanted to smack Christa in the snoot when she sat on the swing with Brooke, and swung her hands in Brooke's face while yelling about her date being ruined. Brooke flinched big time, as if she were about to be hit. I would have stepped in and said something then, too. :P

Yeah..I know it was somewhat scripted..but there's a wee bit of reality in there too, dangit. :D

Aww... you are following them! I asked BHK, and she gave me a similar report - I didn't know there was a myspace page until you mentioned it!!

"Aww... you are following them!"

I should be embarrassed, but I'm not. :o
I suspect I'll further check in on their Myspaces from time to time, too. ;)

BHK and I both dug it, too.. thanks for the info! She wanted Amanda to win, and I was leaning that way, too.
