woman @ bus stop, loudly repeating "yes, god / thank you jesus" into her
phone... over and over again for the entire time I was waiting. thankfully,
she wasn't taking my ride. I halfway wonder if the phone was even active.

Maybe she was talking to God on the phone. She seems see through in this second pick, so maybe she was a ghost talking to God.

What does 'thank you jesus!' lady say when things go badly? 'no, satan/lucifer, you jackass!' Maybe i'll start an anti-satanic cult... we wouldn't have to be *for* anything, just, you know, filled with righteous indignation.

Hmm... i hear the finale of the Planet of the Apes Off Broadway Simpsons Play coming from the other room. Sounds like Patrick Steward singing. Remember when good ol' Jean Luc played the Masons leader in the Simpsons? Good times... maybe i can recruit him to my cult - if i can lure the hollywood crowd away from scientology so much the better!

I'd have trouble being that righteously indignant all the time... I'd need a lot of caffeine and sugar!

I think that it was Phil Hartman that sang it, back in the day. I think JL was an excellent stonecutter leader - I didn't know his preference and went to look him up, and got a totally different patrick stewart - one who died in afghanistan, but whose family wants a wiccan star on his headstone.

Could be! I thing that a ghost would try to keep things a little quieter, but she sure did seem thankful!

I wouldn't think the almighty or son of G would need verizon's help, but maybe they got a good deal on the friends and family calling plan.

I know how you feel... when I talked more with the big guy, I more often than not got his service.

Maybe she was getting some good news about a family member, or some other good news that had had her upset previously? I had some coworkers who often said, "Thank you, jesus" repeatedly (over the phone) when something bad turned out okay afterall. They all went to the same church. :D

It must've been some really good news! I'm happy that she's happy... but also happy that I didn't have to listen to her hollered hosannas my whole bus trip, too!
