Back doctor time, this morning. I'm concerned about surgery - hope that I get a cortisone shot to help me out. I confess that I am rather fearful - More to follow after I return.

Josh's job is right up there with #1 on that list. Working on PLCs on big, filthy machines definitely isn't for the khaki pants and golf shirt type of programmer. Crawling around on the floor in a meat-processing plant in Thailand? Not the most sanitary career in the world. But he's a nuts and bolts kinda guy, so it suits him. I just wish I didn't have to do his laundry.

Yep. Its the great irony of my life. I'm the vegetarian who is married (and financially supported by) the guy who services gigantic hot dog machines. Oscar Mayer, Jennie O, and Sara Lee are essentially paying my mortgage. (For what its worth, I started dating him long before he got the meat job...)

Fortunately, he's never come home covered in gore. But he often smells just like smoked meat and he sometimes has "slurry" on his pants.... the liquified meat goo that get shot into casings to make sausages and the like. Its so GROSS!

Oh yes! They do a whole line of deli meat. They also make Ball Park franks. Their processing plant in Michigan is the one that killed a bunch of people with listeria several years ago. Apparently, there are some people who don't like Sara Lee.
