Read the graphic novel Superman/Batman : Absolute Power. It did nothing for me.

Synopsis: Three time travelers eliminate members of the Justice League, except for young Superman and Batman, whom they raise as their own children. Batman and Superman are raised to be dictators of the world, eliminating all opposition and killing people who would otherwise be their friends. During a fight with the Freedom Fighters the timeline is thrown into chaos, and the two men travel through alternate time lines. Darkseid makes a deal with them in one reality to send them back through time to stop the super-villains who raised them from altering history. Superman and Batman restore history, but the murders they committed haunt them.

Nah. Not for me. Even with Hex showing up and the Legion... it still didn't inspire, impress, or provoke any thought. Picked it up on impulse at the library while waiting on my prescription. I hope the Marvel Westerns book is more to my liking.

I'd rather play with folks I know, or at least Internet-know than total strangers... more fun to put a personality to the people I'm shooting alongside or at.

Of course, if you don't like me, add me anyway, and you can either shoot me in the face in game, for maximum catharsis. No legal ramifications for killing a little avatar!

I don't have golden locks anymore! I quit dying/highlighting my hair for the first time since I was 16 and found out---ACK I'm a brunette! My family and friends all think I've dyed my hair darker--heh.

That vid on Hilary Clinton vs. Barack Obama was very well put indeed, while I was pulling for Edwards, Barack is my second choice and I find myself somewhat dismayed that Hilary is currently in the lead.
On the Republicans side glad to see the more moderate McCain in the lead, especially since his main opposition is a freaking evangelist, just what this country needs. I may even end up voting for McCain if Hilary wins the Democratic nomination.

As to the Marvel westerns I think I read the Black Rider story, by Englehart with very nifty art by Marshall Rodgers, too bad he passed away recently, and I liked it, the story was nothing too special I guess, but I liked the set up of a Western in the New York City of the time.

I like Edwards, too... he's got a platform I can get behind, though I suspect it's down to H vs O on the Dem side of things.

I could see voting for McCain in order to depose Hillary... I think he likely has more of my values in place than she does. (or at least some core values in place, period)

I'm looking forward to the westerns - our local library is pretty on the ball when it comes to ordering graphic novels.

I read a couple of the Superman/Batman graphic novels from that series also. I liked the two before that one, but Absolute Power I didn't care for. I think GP got me the following book also but I haven't read it. I've been behind on my comics reading for like a year now. One of these days I'm going to have to sort thru the stash and dig in.

I've been a comics cheater cheater by reading graphic novels checked out from the library...the theory is if I really like it, I'll buy it... but I've been lazy on the follow-through purchase.
