Warmer again... ice on the ground, though. Walk too close to the drainage area by the Wendy's, and you'll toboggan a good 200 feet.

Posting this again - meant to mention it was found via tarpo:

Want to visit my cute little city? ( http://scottobearia.myminicity.com/ )

Sadly, Salmagundi and Salmagundia are already taken.

F*cking programming.

I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. (Some I know too well. You know who you are.) I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you for your interest in my words.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...they listen in rapture to the love-music of she-turnips." I might feel compelled to mock your musical taste, but I'll certainly remember you.

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear.

Last thing of the night - BHK gave me a Christmas Prezzie early - custom converse sneaks in my favorite colors - Orange, Brown and Green... with a "SCOTTO" embroidered at the back.

See simulation - actual photos pending. I love 'em! Clicks embiggen, as aways.

my name is devin, but before i was born my mom had trouble deciding on these names for me: raven, dallas or quinn. yes, she really wanted to name me these things. i was named quinn at birth but apparently my family hated it so much that my parents did a last second name change and new birth certificate for me with the name Devin.

dallas. can you imagine? i just get recaps of the 5th element: "DALLAS, LEELOO, MULTIPASS!"

yeah.

1. I am a practicing worshipper of Great Cthulhu!

2. I'd quite like my religion of choice to be pagan, but I can't hold with the all the nature stuff.

3. I love 80's rock, but am also very partial to modern country music.

A little something about me: I have six toes---well I did. One was removed--it was only a wart-like nubbin'. I'll show you the scar when you get home.

Hey little twelve-toes, I hope you're thriving.
Some of us ten-toed folks are still surviving.
If you help me with my twelves, I'll help you with your tens.
And we could all be friends.
Little twelve-toes, please come back home.

I haven't had a chance to check out your city, but hope to after I get back from NC, after the holidays.

Here are my answers from answering someone else's meme thingey. Some you already know. :0)

------------

I'm a huge animal lover, which you may or may not already know. My neighbors jokingly call me "Animal Whisperer," which is a bit scary, because it probably has to do with the number of the number of animals I'm taking care of. They also think I have some sort of magical power with animals, but it's nothing more than paying attention & learning.

I'm most at home in rural locations, especially when mountains and forest are involved.

I move & do things rather slowly, but can rush when necessary. One would think I'm on Italy time. It bothers some, but they can 100% bite me. :0)

I'm pretty calm by nature, unless you pull something more than once, in which case, I'm pretty vocal. Try something a 3rd time, and you're cut off. That is, unless I'm forced to put up with you in the workplace, or you're a family member.

I'm both passive AND aggressive, but never passive-aggressive. I also strive to be kind, and find that far more important than a good many things in the world.

I prefer solitude, or spending time with a small number of close friends & family, because so many people turn out to be dipwads once you get to know who they really are.

I'm addicted to learning, and read anything I can get my hands on. It's important to me to know as I much as I can.

I adore doing things with my hands, so you can often find me making things. Right now: Christmas gifts for family and scarves (for me), for my trip to North Carolina this week.

happy journeys to NC!

I'm so glad that you strive to be kind! you seem to succeed as far as I've seen!

mountains and forest are up on my list of comfort zones, too.. moreso than oceans, certainly .
