Bulk of fun today is where Kat asks the eternal question... Who would win: werewolves or robots?

Me, I'm with the Robots, even though my sympathies might be more for werewolves. All that talk has me wanting to play Werewolves / Mafia now. (see also)

It's so rare to find an extra to do a 3-player game... maybe next games night at the club, we can get 8 or more to do it?

Leftover night with the in-laws... plus BHK made some pseudo-chicken in broccoli cream sauce over egg noodles that was deeeeeelish.

Played a little Mario Galaxy and hit the sack - The new Mii design competition is better than the last... I think that BHK has made a real contender with her Cleopatra. Next one - Gingerbread Man... lots of possibilities.

I've got a Secret Santa gift coming up at work ... I'll ask my lj at large... if you were going to get something valued $20 or less... what would you want?

If I had a secret santa buy me something I would like a Sephora gift card so I could buy lip gloss.

For maximum Secret Santa value I would want a pet duck. They only cost about 14 bucks but are really worth so much more than that!

::snicker::

Extra values = photo taking opportunities, laughter & smiles due to cutsey pie things duckies do, LOVE & appreciation from duckie, happy duckie not on someone's dinner table, extra lovin' for the Secret Santas who purchase them, ETC.

How about something "no-nonsense" like a ream of copier paper, a box of legal clips or a box or Kleenex (and not in one of those decorator packs with all the sparkles cause that screams "nonsense").

Something practical and useful. Cause really what girl would want lipgloss or a duck----such silly gifts---of course presuming that you were buying a gift for a girl.

$20 is about £10 so I would ask for a DVD that I wanted.

How much lip gloss will $20 buy? A six pack of burts bees, or 1/5 of a "sephora glittergold stick"?

Hands down I'd have to say $20 worth of specialty papers from PaperMojo would make me in particular go squee.

However, a gift card for a book store might do the same and be more generic.

Is it a chick or a dude? Age? Did they give you anything with some of their likes/dislikes on it?

I'm still not getting emailed replies, so came back to check for replies...

I just threw out a ton of stuff I've received from co-workers that were useless, beyond being decorative (& barely at that). Stuff that charities often don't want to mess with. I felt bad about the waste.

I say give a gift card to either a local place you know the recipient likes to/or wants to go. That would knock out shipping charges for him/her. OR an Amazon.com gift card. If they don't read, there's 1 million other things on the site to want. Plus, if they're a reader, gift cards can be used to buy a ton of USED books there.

i would not like a duck,
i would not like lip gloss,
i would not like to consider my co-workers contemplating glossiness or lack thereof of my lips. Or other those of other co-workers. Eek.
I would like a gift card to some place with general appeal like Best Buy or a book store or iTunes or Amazon.
Or an alarm clock that screams like a monkey.

Date: 2007-12-01 12:19 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] blackhellkat.livejournal.com
I was seriously considering this alarm clock--it runs and hides until you get out of bed and find it and turn it off!

Score!

You know this rampant fun must stop. You 2 are painting a bad picture. You're making married life look fun. What good is that? Stop it now. Don't force me to call Homeland Security.
