You know, my dad is long gone. I haven't seen him for a little over half my lifetime now. I miss him, but my heart isn't aching about it at the moment, despite the recent holiday.

First day of work. I expected most of it to be paperwork and getting to know the office. Note to self, add stuff from archive to pda for lunchtime reading. There were already plenty of things for me to do... the folks seem nice, and the team looked to be on the same page.
