Yesterday was spent by BHK, AVW, TM, LB & CB working the garden out back. I spent the majority of my time taking care of business indoors, but took a couple of breathers to chit-chat. We had a gigantic breakfast of whatever what in the cupboard – blackberry, blueberry, lemon/poppy seed, chocolate muffins, boiled and deviled eggs, Amish bread, and sweet corn.

TM has been rather unhappy lately. I suspect it’s due in no small part to DR being off overseas with limited communication. I wish there was something I could do to bring her spirits up.

I was offered a position in Ohio for a more than decent sum of money, but unfortunately, I don’t live in Ohio . I replied that I’d love the gig if it permitted telecommuting or had a MD/DC office. We’ll see what turns up.

Watched the first two episodes of Heroes on the PSP – pretty good lunchtime fare. I find myself wondering how I’d build ‘em in Champions / HERO system. BHK and I will watch the series on the regular TV now that there are seasonal DVDs out there for it.

Briefly explained to BHK how RPGs build characters, Champions/GURPS point-based stuff in particular – how the more broad the ability is, the more costly it can be. (like detect gold w/in 100 yards is cheaper than detect anything once touched at 500 miles) After the bar, maybe we'll build and play some heroes, too.
