Pretty Gentle day today - Spent time looking for work, prepped a bit for bhk's meeting tomorrow, watched Hyperdrive. I rather dig the show, but suspect it won't be renewed... six episodes seems like just the right amount to get all of the parody stuff out before hitting too many redundancies. (edit: I stand corrected - looks like it'll be returning)

My Youtube account is currently shut down, due to my hosting a kids in the hall sketch and a Persephone's bees video. If it doesn't make it back, I'll just stick with Google video... no copyright issues for my home movies and misc foolishness. Sort of pesky that they didn't just take down those two, however. That spidey video was a lot of fun, and pretty active.

Dang it... I don't get a good vibe from Obama, now. He other hand has no opinions that I can see... not sure what a platform of "I like Ronald Reagan" is for a democrat. He's a great speaker, but I haven't seen a lot of solid content that I like.

Please, please, don't throw Clinton in the ring, due to her past criminal dealings and all around greasy demeanor - if anything, sh strikes me as more of a "slick willie" type than her husband. She has no charisma that I can see... the only thing that I perceive going for her is a more knee-jerk following by people who want either *any* democrat or just think that a different set of genitalia will make things better in the white house. I'm not buying.

If I have to pick, Obama will get the vote, just because he's the devil I *don't* know.

Again picking not the one that's best, but picking the one that's not as bad as the others... bleh. Ah well. Maybe I'm being optimistic, but it doesn't seem to be as bad as the last two elections or so.

Hi you :)

I've been traveling and had the plague as well, so haven't been around.

Good luck on the job hunt!!

I fear youtube will soon be boring like many other video sites are. :(

I both like & dislike things about Obama and McCain, which is to be expected. I dug what Guiliani had to say in few recent interviews, but he'll probably get my goat at some point, too.

I don't trust Hilary as far as a I can throw her.
Unless someone jabs a hot spear into my back, I can't see myself voting for her.

The last election burned me out. I'm not looking forward to the possiblity of more insanity.

McCain's anti-abortion stance is pretty weird for a democrat. I'm totally with you on Hilary.

Glad to see you peeking in... and I hope you're feeling much better!

Obama -

Just a random question:

Do you get the feeling that Obama is simply being groomed for the Veep nomination? Though he's vaguely intriguing (read: Republican, heh) I think he's still too "green" to be considered as a serious presidential contender, but he might make a fine Vice President.....

Just wondering what you think.

Personally, so far, I don't like any of my choices. Good thing there's still a boatload of time before the actual election.

I don't know who'd beat him at the polls...but I think he'd make for an interesting VP. Who would get the presidency?

That would surprise me, but it's is sadly possible.

I think the idea would be to "balance" Hillary out with him....

...but I could just have the brain worms, I suppose.

That'd almost be *too* Demo-liscious to be possible, I think. A female prez and a black vice prez? I'd be really jazzed to think it could happen, but somehow, I suspect that the bible belt couldn't stomach both o them at once. McCain and either Hilary or Obama seems more likely.

I feel the same way about Obama and Hillary. I just keep hoping someone better will toss their hat into the ring. Maybe I'll just write in "Jon Stewart" like I was threatening to do last time.

That could work... he's at least entertaining and earnest!

I just finished watching "Man of the Year" starring Robin Williams. I gotta tell ya I was almost ready to vote for Robin, Jon, or Bill Mahr.

Hmmmm... Jon Stewart for President does have a ring to it.

Scott, you sound like me when it comes to voting. I haven't gotten any positive vibes off of Obama. I've never been "won over" like so many others. His mouth seems to be open, but I don't hear anything.

As for Hilary, I'm still undecided about her. On one hand I think she will do something about healthcare and on the other I'm not sure what she really stands for. I agree that she has no charisma, but if she'll do a good job I don't care. The problem is most people will. I actually have no problem with her Whitewater past. However, I do agree wholeheartedly that most people seem to be pro-Hil only because of genitalia or party. I also think many would be happy to see Bill back in the house even if it is as first First Husband.
