Pumpkins are the only living organism with triangle eyes.
[Poll #846768]
Want to Read the story?
Or just watch it in lego format?
Random Scotto factoid - I have always possessed an odd fondness for windmills. When I see them in movies, or as cookies, it just makes me happy... especially the old-style 4-sailed sorts, though the weird farm-propeller ones are also keen. Long before I ever read Don Quixote de la Mancha.
I like water-driven mills too, for that matter.

Added Newt after the fact.. it *is* his cam, after all.
Had a great time gabbing with bhk last night... lots of infectious laughter and silliness, mostly about pure randomness and pente-trash talk.

Date: 2006-10-18 01:06 am (UTC)I don't know where most of them are made, but I think they arrive in Texas in Houston. From there they are trucked out west on huge trucks. The trucks carrying the blades are the best - unbelievably massive - much larger than a standard 18 wheeler, more like the trucks that move houses. And the blades are beautiful, smooth and fluid and surreal.
They take up more than one lane, so mostly they move at night, with lead cars and tailing cars. But since I go to work early, I often see them. 3 or 4 times a week I'll catch a truck with part of windmill cruising down the road.
