Chipped my bottom right rear molar last night - Looks like I'll need a crown back there. Swinging by the local dentist as soon as I can switch the phones over to the office and the doc's place opens up. I hope any fix is simple, painless, and inexpensive. Fortunately, I have no dental pain at the moment.

How An Orlando Weatherman reacts to a cockroach-

Hey, my episode of Columbo last night (Murder by the Book) was directed by Stephen Spielberg. The story was weakish, but it was visually pleasing and I liked the characters. I think that I preferred the Second episode, Death Lends a Hand more. Robert Culp is pretty keen in any role.

Netflix seems to have to stretch a bit lately to send me my goodies -

Columbo: Season 1: Disc 3 - Your movie was not available at your local shipping center. We sent it from Santa Ana, CA and expect it to arrive on Saturday, Sep 23, 2006.

In Like Flint - Your movie was not available at your local shipping center. We sent it from Spokane, WA and expect it to arrive on Saturday, Sep 23, 2006.

I got a real "lift up the petticoats, and tap dance atop a chair" vibe.

You'd think a floridian would be used to the odd cucaracha!

Reminds me of the time when one of my co-workers at Kay-bee came running out of the bathroom, screaming his pants still down around his ankles because a roach crawled up his leg when he was on the john. Luckily it was just into the back room rather than the store proper.

Good thing! Roaches *are* creepy-crawlies. A pantsless guy running around with roachy legs can't be good for business!

Well, Broke!

Solutions are:

To keep the tooth -
two root canals ~950
crown - ~800

for about $1750ish

or -

Yank the sucker out for about 250-500, depending on how tricky the extraction is.

I'm leaning to the cheaper option right now, but I have a littel bit to make my decision. I would like to be fully recovered from whatever I do by 10/25, though. :)

I broke part of a molar going on five years ago now and haven't done a thing about it. Yeah I'm a bad man, on the other had I haven't had even a hint of pain or trouble.

First molar. I'm certainly not advocating waiting, it just because I have taken procrastinating to unheard of heights is no reason to follow suit.

I'm thinking I'll try seeing if I can wrangle dental insurance first, and if not, then tending to it directly.
