Venture brothers "fallen arches" was back on track. Nice to see Orph with his own team. Nice use of Ouroboros and the All-Seeing Eye as a logo, too.
Ah, explanation why that notification thing only worked for some people before.
James Good (the same guy that made this video) has more aerial photos taken with his RC airplane over Miami..shots from about 800 feet up, and stunning.
Voted Yesterday - these guys were who I was rooting for. Let's hope most follow through, and only a bare minimum kick me in the pelotas. My emphasis was on pro-education, environment, minimal pork, and other typical Scotto-type stuff. The line was incredibly short at 6pm. I wonder about the turnout.

Dear Lazyweb - Getting close to donation-time again, and I'm considering heifer.org again

To Whom it may concern:
If you had $200 to donate to a charitable organization, who would you give it to, and why?
I'm always on the lookout for good, solid charities... ones that do good works with a minimum of skimming by executives off of the top. Any suggestions?
Found this on Forbes - America's Most (And Least) Efficient Charities
Got to show the system to Aphrodite Jones today. A pleasant lady, seems very intelligent and together. Hopefully she'll get an opportunity to push info along to powers that be for more facetime in the media.
I really dig her name.

Steve Irwin's friends/coworkers were talking about his charity on CNN last night. After seeing the numerous documentaries about him on Animal Planet the last two days - I'm impressed. I didn't think all that much about him before, but holy cow....he was one in a millonS. I was pretty stunned to hear him talk about what he's done for animals worldwide -- not just in Australia. Not just part-time, but full-time. I wish I could have told you to watch them, I think you would have been impressed.
None of the donation goes toward admin costs (see webpage for explanation) - all of it goes toward worldwide wildlife conservation.
Or maybe the U.S. Humane Society? I always think of donating to them as a gift that can give for about 15 years or more -- to an animalm, any of his/her fur buddies (horse-cat-whatever), as well as the animal's future humans.

Aphrodite Jones sounds like the name of a Blacksploitation film.

Date: 2006-09-06 02:09 pm (UTC)I'm pretty fond of Dr. Orph and his Daughter, too. Nifty to see a "supernatural team" in that universe.
Aphrodite Jones sounds *completely* like a blackspoitation character.

But my mom has MS and so does my close friend, so it's personal.
But on the other hand, they really seem to be at a tipping point!
FYI- sometimes i want to reply to you and am unable to, do you think it's because i'm anonymous?

MS is a good one... I used to do the read-a-thon as a kid.
