LJ has implemented thread tracking in journals other than your own, now. Pretty fascinating.. on the user info page, you can keep an eye peeled for all new entries by a user, or track threads. very handy. I wonder if the owner of the tracked journal is notified in any way?
More Reasons to love Mallah and the Brain is one of my fave couples in comics. (

But... Isn't Mallah a Marxist?

Is it any wonder I love them so?

Date: 2006-08-12 03:19 pm (UTC)As it is if there's a thread I want to "watch" I just bookmark it. So I guess the originator/journal owner wouldn't know anyway would they?

Date: 2006-08-12 04:55 pm (UTC)the nicve thing about the tracking is that it'll email you any new changes.

Date: 2006-08-12 05:58 pm (UTC)If someone doesn't want to be tracked they shouldn't make public posts. Presumably if someone posts something they want people to look at it, otherwise they'd post it filtered.

Date: 2006-08-22 11:50 am (UTC)was in the cistine chapel around... 7 years ago. the ceiling had just been cleaned, and they left a small, UN-cleaned rectangle in one of the corners -- to show what it looked like before the cleaning. Wonder if they cleaned the dirty, example patch..or if it just doesn't show well in that photo.

Date: 2006-08-22 12:16 pm (UTC)was the dirty area significantly more yucky?

Date: 2006-08-22 02:16 pm (UTC)YES! I was really surprised at the difference. Mentioned to my stepmom while we stood under it, that I was glad that we saw it post cleaning.
The un-cleaned spot, made it look as if it was near impossible to see the paintings before. It was all gray/brown -- with just faint bit of the colored painting showing through. We were told the employees left the un-un-cleaned patch up there for tourists -- because they knew we would be just as wow'd as they were.
