Should be fun! I'm guessing about an hour per cache. If I find a travelbug, I'll take it with me on my journey north.

You're welcome to join me, but it's fairly north of you, in boca. (the coodinates, 3 miles nw is in respect to my house)

The bug thing is a set of "dog tags" you can attach to an item that will travel from cache to cache - (or person to person) in the real world and you can follow its progress online.

Each Travel Bug has its own unique tracking number stamped on it. This tracking number is used as proof by the user that they found the item. It also doubles as a way for the user to locate the personal web page for the travel bug.

Travel Bugs are tracked with the help of users who go online and "grab" them from caches, or receive them from users. The idea is by picking up and dropping off Travel Bugs on the web site you are mirroring the Bug's real world adventures. Each Travel Bug has its own "diary" that follows its movements.

here's the travel bug I want to pick up, take his picture at a pub, and bring north when I go on my journey - Farrel the Fiddler

He's been to NY and parts of Florida already.

i think i understand a little better now :). it's kind of like a really involved treasure hunt kind of thing...

when are you going to head up? i'm off thursday and friday, but you work those days right? could i trirail it, or is it not far enough east?

I think I'll probably zip down there on Saturday after the housecleaning, barring any other weirdness, rain or pain.

research on the coffee house sounds like a good plan!

will you still be able to make dinner if you hit the park saturday?

I would think so! get to the park by noon-1, horse around until 4, head back home, shower, and bus it southerly.

looking like I'm not going to get to go saturday, geo-wise. I have some other errands to tend to. Possibly sunday, if the satrs are right.

Yay for Geocaching! We haven't been out in a while - trying our best to not be frivolous with the gas consumption. I think we've got some new ones around the area too. *sigh*

Oh well. Happy hunting!

They look like fun fun caches! I wonder if there are any wine themed caches up here for the wine stopper travel bug.
