ECN hooked me up with a side-gig for a website for her boss. That might make for a nice couple of hundred bucks in the next week or two - probably for about 2 or 3 days worth of work over the weekends in my downtime. I can cope with that. I've had quite a dry spell in that department since the grove shut down.

Looking forward to doing a little writing this weekend, too. I'm long out of practice, and I'm due to get back on the wagon again. I've been fooling with a new mystery-type idea, so I'll see how well I can work that up into a few thousand words, give or take.

Set up Newtcam on Big Brain...That should eliminate all the random hang-ups lappie-cam was causing. If all goes well, I may experiment with streaming video again soon. As it is, I'm testing out an "autozoom" feature of the newest version of Where's James webcam... we'll see how it looks.

Newt investigates the new location of the cam. He should've been snoozing with me at that time!

Sleestak Noises, and some really keen Sleestak custom figures. I want one!

If I wasn't so technically challenged, I'd set up a streaming cam, point in to the neighborhood. Never a dull moment.

Newt looks like an alien in that photo. :)

A couple hundred ducketts isn't bad for weekend work.

Odd that noise was so scary to me as a kid and now it doesn't sound so scary :D Maybe its like the teen ringtone--you lose the ability to have it scare you as you grow older. OR maybe its just gotta be in context.

I think it's a nifty noise... I remember an episode when some civil war guy that got trapped there said that they tasted like lobster, but not.

I think its a nifty noise too--just doesn't send me into the same frenzy that it used to.

Good luck with the writing. Mystery idea huh, sounds nifty. I’ve tried crime stories before, though most of my attempts are very noir as that the stuff I like.
I need to get back on the horse myself; that write at the same time for a couple hours everyday thing I did a few months back, seemed to work out pretty well for me, up until the end anyway, when I froze up, unable to come up with an ending I liked.
I’ve been slowly cooking up something new, though this time I’m not starting until have the ending, in fact I’m gonna try to write the end first then work towards it. I think/hope that might work out better for me.

Thanks! I'm not quite sure how to implement it yet, but noir is a great setting for that sort of thing.

goo dluck with your current brew! How'd that game supplement come along?

That fell though a wile back, too many things like it came out, including one from WoTC, the d20 market isn't that big, so it wasn't worth Necro going on with the project. I could try something else, and I might, though one thing I learned was that writing a game supplement has more in common with technical writing than creative writing, which is fine if a little tedious at times.

awesome sleestack noises!

i've been in a bit of a sleestack mood lately-

what do you think? sleestacks are precursers to zombies- they move slow as all get-out and i think i distinctly heard the word "brains" from that sound file
