Consultation was brief, not enough for a camera, but a fair chunk of change, anyhow. Walkies were comfortable.. cool air, clear skies... made for a nice little roam.

I think I'll go see V for Vendetta (for some reason my brain called it "Dial V for Vendetta" which would make for a fun use of the HERO dial.

I'm also considering a visit to the tree zoo.

Walkabout conditions are optimal: Maybe I'll do the bike rather than walk.

A lightly-spotted ladybug landed on my hand while on walkabout yesterday - Hopefully that means good luck is coming my way.

Recent physical complaints - Getting some (very minor) pain in my left shin and knee. Continuing to be overtired at times. Not losing fat / building muscle at a good rate, it needs to improve. If it continues, I'll see a doc.

Your '1 year ago' caught my eye - Jesus scented candles, now why don't they have those at the mall?

from the article - Bob Tosterud and wife Karen say the formula is all spelled out in Psalm 45.

"It's a Messianic Psalm referring to when Christ returns and his garments will have the scent of myrrh, aloe and cassia," says Karen Tosterud.

Fancy. A bit strong for my tastes but I imagine it would appeal to some.

time-travelling smell post! :D

I suspect it was strong due to the whole desert/no deodorant thing?

Yeah I ran across a bunch of emails I had skipped over. Maybe the Big J had bad teeth. Those substances are antiseptics and stuff. Not to mention quite pricey especially back then. Never would've thought of Jesus being into fancy imported colognes or toothpaste. But then a gregarious guy like him probably had some cinchy connections.

Nice weather it's been very nice and nipping here for a couple of weeks now.

Have fun at the movie. I curious to hear what someone who's read the book thinks of it.

If made a tree zoo I'd keep all the trees in cages. ;)

I'm also a shark, guess that's one gets for liking the cool animals.

Well, those nymphs and ents seem to prosper more in free-roaming mode!

You know, I don't see either of us as the "aggressive, go-getter" type.

but polar bears and sharks are wicked awesome, BANGS!

I had a good time at the movie, but I'm glad I didn't read the book right before. a different flow, and the third part was totally redone.

and the third part was totally redone.
“Memoirs of a Geisha” was that was, it had been sometimes since I read the book but for the first two acts the movie seemed to follow the story then the third act it was completely different.
That said I though the end mostly worked for V, though had I read the book I might have felt different.

I think tha ton it's own, the ending was fine, just a different vibe. I really think that they could've cut out the "final showdown" scene or at least trimmed it a bit... the glowy-swooshy knives was a bit out of place.

I chalked it up to "super high speed swordy-goodness" so it was fine.. though it looked like the guys didn't have any blood pressure... just bags of blod that got torn open. :D

mmm... I could go for a little pane e giochi!

Tree zoo seems like a neat idea but their website is sadly lacking for photos. Guess that's your next assignment :))
