Newt's Due for a checkup... I've got to call his doc and maybe get him in there on Sat.

That'll be easy because there's no getting with Danny this weekend, He's sounding really burnt out. I've been really weary recently too. Maybe it's time for something specil to recharge my batteries, but I'm not sure what that might be.

Don't know if the new SL code is more stable but it didn't crash after the up date... got a nice visit in with HP before beddie bye last night.. not a single reboot!

Well.. it's Lent, and many folks are giving up something for personal improvement, even if they're not of a particularly religious persuasion. What would I give up? I'm starting late, but I'm going to try to totally cut out fast food lunches until Easter. Let's see how I do.

Moment of Lyric: mp3

I don't want you
But I hate to lose you
You got me in between the devil and the deep blue sea

I forgive you
'Cause I can't forget you
You've got me in between the devil and the deep blue sea

I want to cross you off my list
But when you come knocking at my door
Fate seems to give my heart a twist
And I come running back for more

I should hate you
But I guess I love you
You've got me in between the devil and the deep blue sea

Scary kids!

Though I tend to find theres something unwholesome about that 50's style advertisements.

there is something... intense... about those kiddies.

Without exaggeration, one of those kids is the doppleganger (even down to the creepy smile) of one of the kids who comes down to Gamers every so often. Creepy.

I've contacted the shop for that order, and given them the correct address. So once they get it back, they can mail it out again.

Conjours some bizarre mental images...

Boys *sigh* Although I have had a date on a kayak and been propositioned in a canoe---I can tell you kayak love would be a very tricky tricky thing!

Ok I'm changing my name to Go Kayak.

Propositioned in a canoe? did you tell the boy to cool off in the lake? ;)

It was a girl. And they didn't make waves with me literally and figuratively.

Something odd happens when I take people out in a kayak on my little tour-- they get out in the middle of nature after being cooped up in suburbia and get wild---usually most people just start singing (odd in its own right)(I feel sorry for the poor wildlife) but for some reason the thought of being in nature in a canoe made this one girl randy. Whatever floats your boat I guess. I suppose human nature means people feel they have to master or leave an imprint on their surroundings---me I enjoy being silent and feeling engulfed by the water, rushes and reeds. If I ever died in an accident I would want it to be drowning on a kayak trip for sure!

well, splash her with a little cool water!

I guess it's a release of sorts.. I know I really dig going on a canoe ride, and just soaking it all up!

I recall seeing the demonic tots page before, but lost track of it. They are pretty scary kids, but then so is a lot of the stuff they're eating. If you are what you eat, maybe these are examples of truth in advertising. I just know that the kid with the pork and beans turned out to be a serial killer or a congressman! Maybe both!

So does the Newtmonster eat your Stikfas just like the army guys? Have you seen the new Viking? We just put ours together this weekend. He's super cool and has their new "burly man" Gamma body type. Yay for new Stikfas!

Newt doesn't eat them so much as pick 'em up and give a few character gnaws.

the viking looks ubercool!

That Viking does look cool. I have an army guy and samurai Stikfa somewhere around here. The new superhero ones look pretty spiffy too.

I have a couple of the riot-gear stikfas... a black, a tan and an olive drab.

They're sweet, but a little battle-torn by ol' Newt.

Good luck with Newt's appointment. You're such a good daddy!! :)

I don't know what I'm giving up for lent yet...?? Myson wants me to stop smoking because he's giving up something he adores..his Socom playstation game.. I'm debating on whether or not I should or even can??? I KNOW I should stop smoking. It's my biggest vice and I really don't want to..?? *pouts* Maybe I'll try to give up something more realistic?? I like the fast food idea that you had..?? ugh.

Just for fun I was thinking of picking up a vice for lent. After all lent is about sacrifice and since vices are by definition bad then taking one on must be some kind of sacrifice.
How's that for pretzel logic?

From: [identity profile] scottobear.livejournal.com
maybe taking on someone else's vice for lent?

Maybe I'll eat meat for someone trying to quit?

Dart doesn’t pay much mind to the stikfas she prefers to attack milk rings though the new soft kind not so much she preferred the harder springy ones.

From: [identity profile] scottobear.livejournal.com
ornage juice containers still seem to have the tougher rings... Newt's a menace when it comes to army men/heroclix/etc... they're toys to be stolen, batted and run around the house with.

From: [identity profile] graypumpkin.livejournal.com
I think part of it was she liked the milk scent on them. I got her springy plastic things to play with but she only occasionally bats them around.

Date: 2006-03-03 12:57 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] scottobear.livejournal.com
hmm... that's a good point... does she play with twistie ties?

Date: 2006-03-03 01:13 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] kat78731.livejournal.com
I try to keep those away, 'fraid she will choke herself on 'em. She likes ribbon from presents - will chew on that happily though she tries to eat it also.

Date: 2006-03-03 01:20 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] scottobear.livejournal.com
I'll let newt play with plastic twisties, but metal ones are a nosir.

Newt's a ribbon-beast, too...even girftwrap is shredded. Glossy, thin stuff more than newsprint.
