It's raining out, so a light, cool breeze is blowing over the porch; a good time to be relaxing out here. Playing with Newt, Watching mst3k - Castle of Fu Manchu, and dorking around the internet while I wait for the apartment to become shiny.

I think the nice weather gave Newt a boost of spastic energy.

He has a touch of Batroc the Leaper in his blood, I think. When he gets really wound up, he'll leap and pounce like a little pogo-stick to attack milk rings and the like. Maybe Tigger is one of his relatives?

Dart gets all wound up when it's cold too, mostly runs through the house as fast as she can, then skids into things when she runs out of runway, then zips off in another direction. Though occasionally, rarely, she will just leap straight up into the air where she's standing then take off. It's a rare sighting but it always cracks me up.

That's awesome. Newt doesn't often leap straight up... that sounds hilareous. He'll do the ricochet-pinball stuff, freaquently his hind-legs will outrun his forelegs, so it's sort of a leapfrog look.

Is D'Art a super leaper, too? Like form the floor to the top of the fridge?

She used to be, and will still make the big jumps when she needs to, she likes to jump up on the top shelf of the closet. But generally she prefers to makes shorter jumps leading up to something up high these days, when she can.

If you get a chance, go listen to this.

Sort of a "brokeback" vibe!

Harry Whittington, you better run, I'm counting up to 5
Harry Whittington, what have you done, you shouldn't have told the wife.

We've been coming here for 30 years
They thought it was for doves
But it was for love
Sweet, sweet love

Omg...compu-turtles! Actually, those big guys look like THEY know how to stampede, unlike compusa.

Newt kicking up his heels is great. :)) I wish I could see larger camera versions!

I'd have to ship my computer to the galapagos if I wanted the turtles to work on 'em.

Hopefully, I'l be getting a good digicam soon so flying legs o' Newt will be big next time.
